| About World
Of Dance
Our main goal is to assist
our students in achieving their personal goals and to
motivate them to improve and challenge themselves week
after week – whether your interest lies in competitive
dancing, improving your fitness or dancing just for
fun, we will help you get there.
So why dancing?
Dance forms, from hip hop to classical, have shown to
have amazing health benefits. These include lowering
your risk of coronary heart disease, decreasing blood
pressure, strengthening the bones of your legs and hips,
decreasing your stress levels and helping you manage
your weight as you dance off those calories.
The reason
dance is so appealing is due to its ever-evolving nature.
Whilst other forms of exercise often lose their appeal
due to their monotonous pattern, dancing remains a fresh
challenge every time. A key element of this is that
dance is all encompassing- you are never just doing
‘reps’. At each lesson you encounter different
music, you are challenged with new steps, you are discovering
your personal limitations and working through them with
your instructor. These elements, coupled with your own
emotions, means that each lesson is an experience and
not just a routine.
The ‘dance
movement’ has become more and more popular
over the past three to four years, especially with well-known
international dance programmes such as ‘So You
Think You Can Dance’, ‘Dancing
with the Stars’, and ‘Strictly
Come Dancing’. But the health benefits related
to dance are truly where people get excited - so why
not combine the pleasure of dance and fitness with us?
You only need to google celebrities before and after
their participation on the above-mentioned shows to
see the results!
World of Dance
has been structured to bring out the dancer in you.
Studio instructors are all professionally-trained dancers
that have been selectively chosen because of their passion
for dance – we have chosen the best to help you
bring out your best. The studio environment is relaxed
and fun so that our students can achieve their goals
and have an enjoyable experience at the same time.
Hayley Bennett,
owner of World of Dance, has made
dancing her life. Not only has she won the South
African Strictly Come Dancing competition twice,
she has also achieved the titles of highly acclaimed
performer, choreographer, dancer and dance studio owner.
Hayley is also currently training some of South
Africa’s reigning Latin and freestyle Champions.
Hayley’s passion for dance was discovered
at a young age. Although an incredibly shy girl, Hayley
was able to grow through the medium of dance and
attributes much of her present-day success to the self-confidence
and personal drive she was able to develop through her
dancing. |
